Before construction

Preconstruction planning

Give your ideas a practical path before construction begins.

A thoughtful beginning

Good decisions start with good information.

You do not need every answer before we talk. We begin with your goals, available site information, and the questions that could shape the project. From there, we agree on the planning work needed to move forward.

Preconstruction is a paid service, scoped to your project. We agree on the work, deliverables, fees, and any outside professional costs before that work begins.

Tailored to the project

What planning can include.

Vision & design direction

Goals, layout ideas, rough floor plans and elevations coordinated with a designer or drafter, and thoughtful custom details.

Site & feasibility

Early constraints, followed by the formal assessments and specialist input needed for the developing design.

Permits & infrastructure

Coordination of permit preparation, utilities, and well or septic planning where applicable.

Scope, budget & next steps

A clearer scope, preliminary budget, key selections, and an outline of timing and remaining decisions.

The right level of planning depends on the site and scope. Specialist design and assessments are carried out by the appropriate professionals; approvals and final construction pricing depend on the completed information.

The next step

From plan to construction.

Once the scope and plan are ready, we discuss a separate construction agreement. The planning stage is a chance to make informed choices before committing to the build.
